Mark's golf journey has been unique to say the least. He describes it in his own words:
"I first took up golf in 2001 while enrolled at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, MS. It was supposed to be an easy "A" p.e. credit. Little did I know that it would turn into a life passion! Looking back it seems I had the luxury of great coaching from the beginning. The golf class was taught by the golf coach. I didn't know it then but I received some high level coaching for 2 years. By the time I left Co-Lin, I was consistently playing in the upper 80's.
In 2008, I moved to Mobile, AL. when my wife and I married. I began taking lessons from Lawrence Auer, PGA Professional at Azalea City Golf Course. I was competing on the Miller Lite Scratch Tour a year later. During my competitive time on tour I had worked with some of the best coaches in the Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana Gulf Coast region. Jerry Covich and Kenny Hughes, PGA Professionals at Shell Landing Golf Club in Gautier, MS., Derrick Mason, former PGA Professional at TPC Louisiana in New Orleans, LA., and Mick Hartsfield, former University of Memphis player. The lessons and experience I received from the very coaches that helped shaped my career is the same lessons I bring to my clients everyday. It seems I have had a fortune of mis-steps in my golf journey. There are times where I feel like I was destined to be where I am today."
